Thiruvarur, September 3, 2025 — President Droupadi Murmu will grace the 10th Convocation Ceremony of the Central University of Tamil Nadu (CUTN) at its Neelakudi campus near Tiruvarur today.
Smt. Droupadi Murmu was sworn in as the 15th President of India on July 25, 2022. Prior to this, she served as the 9th Governor of the state of Jharkhand from 2015 to 2021.
President Murmu at Thiruvarur CUTN: The President will deliver the convocation address and confer degrees to the graduating students. This ceremony marks an important milestone for CUTN, celebrating academic achievements and the university’s contribution to higher education in Tamil Nadu.
Surveillance has been intensified around key locations, and security checks have been tightened along the travel routes. Barricades and traffic diversions are also expected in certain parts of the city to facilitate the smooth movement of the VVIP convoy.
