PS-1 Teaser postponed, launch moves away from Thanjavur – Ponniyin Selvan
Thanjavur / PS-1 Teaser postponed: The latest development of the teaser of Mani Ratnam’s Ponni’s Selvan is that the producers have postponed the release date of the teaser by three weeks. That means the teaser of the much-anticipated Ponni Selvan first part will only be released in the last week of July.
‘Ponniyin Selvan’ is the upcoming magnum opus cinematic adaptation of the classic novel of the same name, by renowned author Kalki. This is the most expensive Indian film that is still under production with a budget of 500 Crores.
The much-anticipated magnum opus, PS–1, first part of a two-part multilingual film based on Kalki’s classic Tamil novel “Ponniyin Selvan”. PS-1 Teaser is expected to be released on June however it is going to be postponed for a month – report.
Mani Ratnam’s ‘PS1’ release date announced: Lyca Productions has today officially announced that the first part will release on September 30th this year.
Previously, the makers had zero release date on July 7 at the Big Temple. “It simply came to our notice then. Teaser will not be released from the Brihadeeswara Temple in Thanjavur. A promo video on when the teaser will be officially released by Madras Talkies and Lyca Productions will be released soon, ”the source said.
Ponni’s Selvan is a film co-produced by Mani Ratnam’s Madras Talkies and Lyca Productions starring Vikram and Aishwarya.
Ponni’s Selvan – Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Jayam Ravi, Karthi, Trisha Krishnan, Vikram, Vikram Prabhu, Shobita Tulipala, Aishwarya Lexmi among others. AR Rahman composed the music for Ravivarman’s cinematography.
The film PS-1 supposed to grace the cinema halls with its presence in April 2022 however it is expected to be released in september 2022.
