திருவாரூர் மாவட்டத்தில் ‘நிழல் இல்லா நாள்’ | Zero Shadow Day in Thiruvarur

நிழல் இல்லா நாள் திருவாரூர்: திருவாரூர் மாவட்டத்தில் ’நிழல் இல்லா நாள்’ தமிழ்நாடு அறிவியல் இயக்கம் அறிவித்து உள்ளது.

ஒரு பூஜ்ஜிய நிழல் நாள் என்பது நண்பகலில் சூரியன் ஒரு பொருளின் நிழலைப் போடாத நாள், சூரியன் சரியாக உச்ச நிலையில் இருக்கும். பூஜ்ஜிய நிழல் நாள் +23.5 மற்றும் -23.5 டிகிரி அட்சரேகைக்கு (முறையே புற்று மற்றும் மகரத்தின் வெப்ப மண்டலங்களுக்கு இடையில்) உள்ள இடங்களில் வருடத்திற்கு இரண்டு முறை நடக்கும்.

The definition of a zero shadow day is when the Sun does not cast any shadow when it is exactly at the zenith position at noon. Zero shadow day happens twice a year for locations between +23.5 and -23.5 degrees of latitude (between the tropics of Cancer and Capricorn, respectively).

சூரியன் தலைக்கு நேர் மேலே இருக்கும்போது நிழலின் நீளம் பூஜ்ஜியமாகிவிடும். அதாவது நிழல் காலுக்குக் கீழே இருக்கும். ஆனால் சூரியன் எப்போதும் சரியாக தலைக்கு மேல் வருவதில்லை. ஆண்டுக்கு இருமுறை மட்டுமே வரும். சூரியன் செங்குத்தாக வரும்போது, ஓரிடத்திலுள்ள ஒரு பொருளுடைய நிழலின் நீளம், ஆண்டுக்கு இருமுறை பூஜ்ஜியமாகிறது.

திருவாருர், திருத்துறைப்பூண்டி, கூத்தாநல்லூர், குடவாசல் பகுதிகளில் மதியம் 12 மணி 11 நிமிடத்துக்கும், மன்னார்குடி, நீடாமங்கலம் பகுதிகளில் மதியம்  12 மணி 12 நிமிடத்துக்கும்  நாம் வெய்யிலில் நின்றால் நிழலானது நமது காலடியில் விழுந்து நிழல் இல்லாமல் இருக்கும்.

Zero Shadow Day, which occurs twice a year, was observed around 12.11 pm on Wednesday when the sun cast almost no shadow of objects on the ground.

On April 25, there will be no shadow at noon when the sun will be exactly at zenith.
