TANGEDCO Linking of Aadhar card with EB Service connection numbers- Hon’ble Minister For Electricity inspected one of the special counter for Aadhar linking at Chennai on 28/11/2022- Certain instructions issued Reg.
The following instructions are issued.
- Adequate seating arrangements to be provided to the public those who are coming up for Aadhar Updation work.Special priority must be given to Senior citizens, Handicapped / Physically challenged consumers.
- If necessary, Samyana phandal may be provided for their seating arrangements.
- One TA/CA/CI level staff should be deputed exclusively to the special counter on special duty to receive the public and to explain the process of linking of Aadhar to his/her service connection.
- If the existing PC system is not adequate or found to be too slow, an additional PC to be added and to be ensured that Aadhar linking work should not be affected under any circumstances.
- It is the responsibility of the concerned Section officers to personally see that, no amount has to be collected from any of the consumers by any of our staff for this work. If any complaints are received in this regard, it will be viewed very seriously and stringent action will be taken against them.
- The concerned Executive Engineer/Distribution shall inspect their Section offices daily and to monitor the Aadhar linking work progress in each counter. If any problem is encountered, immediately it may be brought up to the knowledge of
IT Wing and solved the issue then and there. Their daily progress should be monitored by the respective SE’s/ Distribution ang report to Headquarters.
- The SE’s/Distribution and the CE’s /Distribution shall also inspect the special counters functioning from 28.11.2022 and to monitor the progress Circle wise daily. In case, if any poor progress is noticed in any of the Section office, special attention must be given to those Section officers.
- The Consumers may be allowed to make their routine payment through any of the approved payment mode of TANGEDCO till 31.12.2022 as already instructed.
- Name Transfer to the owner of the Service connections to be effected then and there based on the records produced by them and as per the existing procedure.
- The Special Counter functioning time is from 10.30 AM to 5.15 PM on every day including Sunday except Festival / National Holidays. It is to be ensured that, the Aadhar linking counter should be functioned continuously without any lunch break or tea break. Accordingly, staff may be arranged by the Section officers.
- A Flex banner must be provided in all the Section offices with the relevant details for Aadhar linking.
